ShrinkMyDocs aims to keep file compression simple and private. This page summarises how we handle information. We will update it as the product evolves.

Files you compress

Standard PDF compression currently runs inside your browser, so the file does not need to leave your device for that step. Some features (for example larger files or batch processing) may require sending files to a server for processing. Where that happens, files are used only to perform the requested compression and are not used to train AI models.

Storage and deletion

Where files are processed on a server, our intention is to remove them shortly after processing. We do not yet publish specific retention timeframes and will update this policy once those details are confirmed.

Accounts

Standard compression does not require an account. If you create an account for paid features, we store the information needed to provide and bill for those features.

If you contact us, we use the details you provide solely to respond to your message.
